Abstract

A capacitive level measuring probe has a connecting housing (1) and an electrode (3) whose sensor part (2) projects out of the connecting housing (1). The sensor part (2) is sheathed by an insulating sleeve (5) and the inner area of the insulating sleeve is connected to the atmosphere via a series of transverse bores (11) and a longitudinal bore (9) in the sensor part (2), a further transverse bore (12) in the electrode (3) leading to the inner area (10) of the housing (1) and a discharge bore (13) connecting the inner area (10) to atmosphere. As a result of this arrangement, any medium molecules which have penetrated the inner area of the insulating sleeve (5) can escape to atmosphere via the bores (11, 9, 12 and 13). <IMAGE>
