Abstract

Method of producing a corner section bar from plate in an edging press. Corner section bars are used as a connection element for panels in the construction of cabinet walls and the like. The purpose of the invention is to create a method of producing such corner section bars from plate by bending in an edging press. The section bar is fabricated by the following steps: a) bending of the band-like plate blank essentially at right angles into a L-section, b) rebending of the L-section's web 20 at 180 degrees by prebending said web 20 at an acute angle and subsequent flattening thereof to form a T-section bar, whose cross piece 20 at one side of the web 24 of the T is longer than on the other side of the web, c) bending of the end portion of the T-section's web 24 essentially parallel with the T-section's shorter cross bar piece, and d) bending of the longer cross bar piece essentially at right angles and essentially parallel to the remaining portion 24b of said web 24. <IMAGE>
