Abstract

The invention relates to an espagnolette for doors, windows and the like, the closing part of which, in the shut position, is secured by means of at least one bar, which is adjustable from a control mechanism 1 having a spring bolt 15 which is effectively secured in the locking position. The spring bolt 15 comprises two bolt elements 16, 19, which are displaceable one relative to the other and the first 16 of which has locking stop sections 17 which cooperate with a control rower 10, and spring members 22, which endeavour to alienate the two elements 16, 19 in the direction away from the said control rower 10. In a first rotation stage, a lock rower 26 moves the first bolt element 16 into locking engagement so as, upon continued rotation, to move the second bolt element 19 counter to the spring action towards the control rower 10. Upon further rotation, this second bolt element 19 springs back in the direction of the lock rower 26 once the location for its bearing contact against the said second spring bolt element 19 has been passed by the cam top 27, 28 of the lock rower 26, whilst the said first spring bolt element 16 remains in its engagement position. <IMAGE>
