Abstract

The present invention relates to an absorbing product such as e.g. a napkin, a sanitary towel or similar, comprising an absorption body and a shroud 8, 9 surrounding it. What characterizes the invention is that the absorption body consists of at least three superimposed sheets 1, 2, 3, of which the inner sheet 1 situated nearest to the user during the use of the product is in general uncompressed, the intermediate sheet 2 situated adjacent to said inner sheet is strongly compressed, preferably in liquid dispersing areas 4 extending in the longitudinal direction of the product, with areas 5 situated between said liquid dispersing areas and essentially compressed relative to the inner sheet but considerably less compressed than the strongly compressed areas 4 in the intermediate sheet 2, and the outer sheet 3 is in its entirety compressed considerably stronger than the areas 5 in the intermediate sheet 2 situated between the dispersing areas 4. Hereby, it is obtained that the absorption body is being filled with absorbed liquid from the outer sheet 3 situated farthest away from the body of the user, in the direction towards the inner sheet 1 situated nearest to the body of the user. <IMAGE>
