Abstract

A displacement device of this kind has two parallel toothed racks (3) whose toothed division (30) has to transmit the same force and is of smaller design than previously. This is achieved by means of in each case a plurality of locking teeth (19) which engage in a positively locking fashion into the corresponding toothed rack (3). As a result, the smallest displacement distance of the fifth-wheel coupling (16) on the motor vehicle can be significantly reduced. <IMAGE>
