Abstract

In loading platforms of the type having raisable and lowerable end walls which can be lowered inwardly over the platform (1), there is provided spring means (22) interposed between the platform and the end wall (6) to balance the end walls during the lowering and raising thereof. The novel features reside in that each of the spring means (23), preferably two of which are arranged at each end wall, comprise a pressure spring assembly in which the pressure spring (23) is interposed between transverse pieces (24, 25), engaging the ends of the pressure spring, by means of pull rods (26, 27) connected to one spring fastening (20) arranged at the platform (11) and another spring fastening (21) arranged at the end wall (6), the pressure spring operating as a compression spring, but essentially retaining its balancing capability on spring rupture. <IMAGE>
