Abstract

The invention relates to a piston sealing device of the type comprising firstly at least one sealing ring 5a, 5b inserted in an annular groove 6a, 6b in the piston, consisting of an elastomeric material, and having an annular lip for fluid-tightening abutment against an opposite cylinder face 1, and secondly a wearing and supporting ring 4 placed in connection with the sealing ring and dimensioned for guidance against said cylinder face. According to the invention, the wearing and supporting ring 4 extends in axial direction from an area adjoining said ring groove 6a, 6b and past one side wall edge 7a, 7b, such that the wearing and supporting ring 4 abuts radially from the outside against the sealing ring 5a, 5b in the ring groove 6a, 6b, thus fixing said sealing ring. <IMAGE>
