Abstract

The invention relates to an electromedical treatment device for treating biological tissue. The treatment device is primarily designed to accelerate the healing processes in damaged or otherwise diseased body parts by provoking hyperaemia, i.e. local plethora and increased blood circulation. This is achieved firstly by the application of a magnetic force field transversely to the principal longitudinal direction of the bloodstreams in the body part to be treated and secondly by the application of an electrical field transversely both to the principal longitudinal direction of the bloodstreams and to the flux of the magnetic force field. The electrically charged particles, the ions, contained in the blood are thereby activated to perform spiral, rotary motions, thereby increasing the blood circulation within the tissue. The electromedical treatment device mainly comprises an electrical field generator containing field electrodes 5, 6 and at least one lens system 2. The solenoids 3, 16 incorporated in the treatment device and the electrode elements 5, 6, 19-22 are fed a regularly variable direct-current voltage, whereby pulsating magnetic and electrical force fields are obtained. A magnetic and/or electrical force field appropriate to each individual treatment and injury is generated by virtue of the fed voltage being selectively adjustable. <IMAGE>
