Abstract

In a mooring device, a boat buoy carries a receptacle 14 provided with an insertion guide 18. A tubular adapter 28 arranged around a painter 29 is insertable into the receptacle 14, whereby snap-action coupling means in the form of pawls 21 and a stop 42 keep the head 36 of the adapter by the buoy in a releasable way, with the painter moored and the adapter 28 rotatable in the receptacle 14 in order to allow the boat to swing. By forwarding the adapter shaft 30 towards the adapter head 36, the pawls 21 of the snap-action coupling are freed, and the adapter 28 may freely be drawn out of the receptacle 14 by means of the painter 29. <IMAGE>
