Abstract

There is provided an article for conditioning fabrics in a clothes dryer, consisting of a flexible substrate 12 carrying a conditioning agent 14 other than a soap. The substrate 12 is air- permeable and only a part of its surface or surfaces carries the agent 14, so that if it lodges against the air outlet of the dryer, at least a major part of the airflow through the dryer is still possible, and so the dryer is protected from possibly burning out due to a blocked air outlet. Preferably the substrate 12 is non-woven, and the agent 14 is printed on it in a pattern such as strips or dots. The substrate 12 may be, for example, wet strength paper and the agent 14 a softening and/or anti-static agent. <IMAGE>
