Abstract

In the present method, the telegram to be transmitted is divided into two subtelegrams (1 and 2) and the first telegram (1) is always maintained at a constant length for block and signal element synchronisation, whereas the following second subtelegram (2) is of variable length. To secure the second subtelegram (2), test signals (8) of a cyclical code are appended, the synchronism of the second subtelegram (2) is guaranteed by the first subtelegram (1) and both the first and the second subtelegrams (1, 2) end with a clearing signal. The method is used in the transmission of information from a transmitter to a receiver in cases where synchronism needs to be guaranteed between the transmitter and the receiver. <IMAGE>
