Abstract

This brush holder comprises two flat longitudinal members (2) between which are fixed cages (1) which are also made from relatively thin metal and which act as spacers for producing, with the longitudinal members, a kind of rigid beam. Assembly rivets (3) are used to fix to the longitudinal members, at the same time as the cages, U-shaped pieces (stirrups) (4) in which the usual mechanisms for pressing the brushes are rotatably mounted. Such an arrangement enables multiple brush holders comprising any number of cages to be produced simply and in a lightweight form. <IMAGE>
