Abstract

This element is produced from an angled-off metal sheet and comprises three walls (14a, 14b, 14c) which are located perpendicular to one another. Each wall has an edge part (14d, 14e, 14f) which is bent off at right angles. The central wall (14a) has a transition zone in the vicinity of the edge part (14d), which, from the wall to the edge, increases in width. Said width is greatest at the bending line (19) between the wall (14a) and the edge part (14d). A table leg (13) enclosed by this element can be fastened, by means of screws through bores (16), on a table top (10) and it is made possible for the element to absorb bending forces in the fastening area, as a result of which troublesome strut arrangements are dispensed with. <IMAGE>
