Abstract

The flux contains from 10 to 26% of calcium carbonate, from 5 to 20% of barium carbonate, from 10 to 23% of titanium dioxide, from 0 to 4% of aluminium oxide, from 20 to 30% of cryolite, from 4 to 18% of manganese, from 1.8 to 7.2% of niobium and from 0 to 10% of chromium. It is particularly suitable for welding electrodes made of nickel-chromium, nickel-copper and nickel-chromium-iron alloys. Employing electrodes of this type coated with the flux makes it possible to produce satisfactory welds.
