Abstract

The disclosure relates to a decoiler (10). The disclosure also relates to a machine (1) using such a decoiler (10) to manufacture helical lock-seam ducts accordingly. The decoiler (10) comprises a mobile stand (11) arranged in a horizontal orientation to support the sheet metal coil (4); a support frame (20) supported by the stand (11), which support frame (20) has a rotation axis (A) and is configured to be turned around the rotation axis (A) between a first position enabling loading the sheet metal coil (4) onto the decoiler (10) and a second position enabling decoiling of the sheet metal coil; and a spindle (30) rotatably connected to the support frame (20), which rotatable spindle (30) supports the sheet metal coil in the first position and securely holds the sheet metal coil in the second position and rotates the sheet metal coil during decoiling.
