Description

TECHNICAL FIELD The present disclosure relates to a muscle training device. More specifically, the disclosure relates to a muscle training device as defined in the introductory parts of claim 1. BACKGROUND ART Training the arm muscles, e.g. biceps and triceps, can be performed in many ways. One of the popular techniques is to focus on keeping the elbows in a fixed position which isolates the specific muscles. By isolating a specific muscle, said muscle can be trained with less weight, having the same or improved gain as using a heavier weight. There is a number of products on the market aiming to assist a user to keep the elbow in the desired fixed position. Commercial gyms have specially adapted machines and/or specially designed benches. However, there exist smaller devices, e.g. the so called "arm blaster". An arm blaster keeps the arm of the user in a fixed position against the trunk of the user, with the object being that this promotes proper form while also isolating the biceps.
A problem with the solution of the prior art is that the arm blaster, despite that it is smaller and cheaper compared to the specially designed benches, is still bulky and not user friendly. For example, the arm blaster cannot be packed within a gym bag, and the arm blaster it is somewhat difficult to adjust to suit the body of the user. lt may feel uncomfortable. There is thus a need for an improved product. SUMMARY lt is an object of the present disclosure to mitigate, alleviate or eliminate one or more of the above-identified deficiencies and disadvantages in the prior art and solve at least the above mentioned problem.
According to a first aspect there is provided a muscle training device__*f_;_:§ _?__:j' s comprising a first and a second end portion, and a centre part connected to the first and second end portions and forming a flexible support part which is substantially inelastic in its longitudinal direction . . .ut _. 3.., .\ .."_.i. _. .- GSE ššïà ššèššë. .XSCAÉ \š\ ..\._.\ . .\.\_.\. .. _.\_. v.. a... .\\._.\ . .,..\.. _... -...-.\.\. . . _.. _. _. . ._. _ _. ._.._.\ ,.\~. .\ män: kàmmßäïš kmšèx* wš :Aïxz :szæšzš mkšš :Sw xsšåš x.. ~~ = czølmxz, ~:.:\.\~.\š~' \.. wherein the centre portion has a length L in the range of and a width W in the range of 30-200 mm, wherein the first and second end portion comprises a first andsecond band respectively, the first and second band defining a first and second loop_ .hc t Sïnttt, u' \_t t U. .__ tatt, .~.\. t. x, t :_ tt, t-glttüt .« t~ . .t må Mt- ._'\ U. , i. .t . t. This has the advantage that the biceps muscles are isolated. The user simply put her/his arms through the loops, with the centre part positioned on the front side of the upper body of the user. The inelasticity of the centre part prohibit the elbows to drift apart. Further the length L and the width W of the centre part are designed to be functional and comfortable for the user of the muscle training device. The length L need to be long enough to separate the elbows from each other, still short enough to obtain a tight fit preventing the elbows to move backwards. The width W, need to be wide enough to reduce pressure on the front side of the upper body of the user, still not too wide leading to bad fit in relation to the body of the user. According to some embodiments, the width w of each end portion is at least 30 mm. According to some embodiments, the width w of each end portion is at least 40 mm.
According to some embodiments, the width w of each end portion is not more thanmm.
According to some embodiments, the width w of each end portion is not more thanmm.
According to some embodiments, each of the bands defining the loops has a length I in the range of 400-600 mm.
According to some embodiments, each of the bands defining the loops is elastic in its longitudinal direction. This has the advantage that the loops fit a wide range of arms in different sizes, and is easy to use since no advanced setup is needed.
According to some embodiments, the bands defining each loop has a neopren rubber layer attached on the inner periphery of each end portion defining the first and second loop.
According to some embodiments, the neopren rubber layer has a thickness in the range of 3-7 mm.
According to some embodiments, the length L of the centre part is at least 200 mm.
According to some embodiments, the centre part formed by one single continuous band.
According to some embodiments, the centre part comprising a first and a second edge attached to the first and second end portion respectively.
According to some embodiments, the centre part further comprises a flexible sheet having a substantially rectangu|ar shape, with two opposite longer edges with a length L', and two opposite shorter edges with a width W', and wherein the bands defining the respective loop extend from opposite shorter edges. This has the advantage of an improved comfort and user friendly fit.
According to some embodiments, the length L' of the sheet is equal to or less than the length L of the centre part, and the width W' of the sheet is equal to or greater than the width W of the centre part, and wherein the sheet is attached to a surface of the centre part.
According to some embodiments, at least one of the two opposite longer edges of the sheet is substantially convex, such that the sheet has a maximum width located substantially in the centre of the sheet and a minimum width located substantially at the two opposite shorter edges of the sheet. This has the advantage of improved comfort and user friendly fit, since the flexible sheet, is designed to alleviate pressure during the use of the training device originating from the weight(s) used by the user while using the device. ln other words, the user will not feel discomfort to the front side of the upper body because neither the top edge nor the button edge of the sheet and the centre part is forced against the front side of the upper body.
According to some embodiments, the centre part of the muscle training device comprises any of neopren rubber, nylon, polyester, low-density polyethylene and/or evafoam, or a combination thereof.
