Abstract
Description
Wftet uppnås med en slipskiva anordnad enligt särdragen av an- slutande patentkrav. a 529 347 2 Grinding of chains can be performed .manually using fi lar, or mechanically in tools with rotating grinding wheels. A well-known manual technique and grinding tool common weakness, however, is that the adjustment of the substructure lug to the height of the cutting tooth after grinding is carried out in a separate, subsequent work step. An optimal and safe height difference between the cutting tooth and the lower heel is thus difficult to guarantee and becomes dependent on careful setting and control of this subsequent work step. THE INVENTION IN BRIEF The present invention aims to eliminate this weakness of known techniques and grinding tools. The weight is achieved with a grinding wheel arranged according to the features of the appended claims.
Briefly, according to the invention, there is provided a grinding wheel arranged for simultaneous grinding of a cutting tooth of a cutting insert included in a saw chain and its associated support lug, which grinding wheel comprises a circular disc body with a center hole for mounting the grinding wheel on a rotating driven shaft. effective for grinding the edge of the cutting tooth and arranged circularly adjacent to the periphery of the grinding wheel on one side thereof. Characteristic of the grinding wheel is that the first cutting surface is associated with a second felling surface effective for height adjustment of the support lug, and which on the opposite side of the grinding wheel turns radially outwards at a distance inside the periphery of the grinding wheel which determines a height difference between the cutting tooth and the lower tooth. which has an axial extent that at least corresponds to the possible grinding length of the cut-off teeth. Furthermore, the invention provides that the second abutment surface extends concentrically around the axis of the grinding wheel in a direction relative to said axis which ensures a maintained height difference between the notch and the support lug notwithstanding the decreasing height of the cutting tooth during grinding, the said axis being determined. joined luming relative to the plane of the cutting tooth during grinding of the actual cutting tooth.
Föredragna utföringsformer av slipskivan enligt uppfimiingen anges i underordnade patentkrav.Preferred embodiments of the grinding wheel according to the invention are set out in the dependent claims.

DETALJERAD BESKRIVNING AV UPPFINNINGEN Med hänvisning till fig. 1 visas en slipskiva 1 innefattande. en cirkulär skivformad kropp 2 med ett centralt beläget hål 3 för montering av slipskivan på en roterande driven axel i en maskin för slipning av sågkedjor.DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Referring to fi g. 1 shows a grinding wheel 1 comprising. a circular disc-shaped body 2 with a centrally located hole 3 for mounting the grinding wheel on a rotating driven shaft in a machine for grinding saw chains.
Machines of this type are known per se and for this reason only a brief description is given: such mass loans usually comprise rollers for tensioning the chain, feed means for advancing the chain link by link, means for oxidizing the chain in the fed position during grinding. , as well as drive means for the rotation of the grinding wheel and in addition guide means with which the grinding wheel can partly be attached to the cutting links and which can partly change the grinding wheel for grinding right- and left-standing cutting teeth. Typically, these known machines have two grinding wheels in sold positions for grinding the cutting tooth in a first working step and for grinding the support lug in an additional working step.
The grinding wheel 1 has on its one side or front a first felling surface 4, which. is arranged circularly next to the periphery of the grinding wheel and acts for grinding the edge of the cutting tooth, as can be seen from drawing slides 1 and 2. The felling surface 4 typically extends in the plane of the grinding wheel for grinding a straight edge. cutting tooth, which edge is inclined the longitudinal pitch D of the relative saw chain at an angle whose size can amount to one or a few tens of degrees, for example within 15-40 degrees and often in an order of magnitude of approx. 30 degrees. During grinding, the grinding wheel was considered with a corresponding rotation of its axis of rotation A, and more precisely alternately from opposite sides. about the direction D for grinding right and left steel cut teeth, in fi g. 1 illustrated with the designations AR and A1 respectively. _ With reference to fi g. 2, the grinding wheel 1 is shown comprising a second cutting surface 5 operative for height adjustment of the underlay lug, and which on the opposite side of the grinding wheel faces radially outwards at a distance r inside the periphery of the grinding wheel which determines a height difference Ah between the notch 6 and the support lug 7, and which has an axial extension ring which at least corresponds to the possible grinding length L of the cutting tooth.
As bast appears from fi g. 2 and 4, the cutting tooth 6 is arranged on a notch 0.8, from which the support lug 7 rises in front of the cutting tooth seen in the working direction P of the saw chain. in the leading or leading edge of the notch seen in the direction P.
The cutting tooth 6 has a decreasing height from the edge 9 to the rear or sloping edge 10 of the cutting tooth, and in other words has a top side or plane 0 which slopes from the edge to the trailing edge towards the saw chain. This is illustrated in fi g. 2 and 4 'through the angle α, which in this description indicates the angle between the plane 0 of the cutting tooth and a standard N of the oak lark. angle-e ha; meaning for eågkedjene meumig in i: faen direction. of normal N, as well as the angle of the cutting edge relative to normal. The latter angle, or cutting angle, is determined by the added angle of inclination of the grinding wheel, which in the present description is given as the angle ß relative to the normal N. and which is required to form the correct notch angle in the edge of the cutting tooth. The angles u and can vary in different types of saw chains, and can for the ß-angle vary in the order of a few degrees to a few tens of degrees, for example within approx. 3-30 degrees relative to the normal N, while the a-angle typically has a size greater than 90 degrees and less than 120 degrees, usually within approx. 93-105 degrees. The feed depth is limited by the underlay lug whose upper or outer end drags towards the bottom of the saw cut and prevents further cutting of the cutting tooth in the wood. The height difference Ah between the notch and the sub-heel usually amounts to one or a few tenths of a millimeter, typically about 0.4 - 529 347 s 0.7 mm, whereby the optimal height difference can differ between saw chains of different types and for different purposes.
From the foregoing it will be seen that each grinding of the cutting tooth 6 results in a reduction of the length of the cutting tooth Li in the longitudinal direction of the saw chain, and in a corresponding reduction of the height of the cutting tooth. Therefore, during each grinding of the cutting tooth, the support lug must be ground down in order to maintain a constant height difference Ah between the cutting tooth and the support lug.
In order to ensure a maintained height inclination Ah between the cutting tooth 6 and the support lug 7, notwithstanding the decreasing height of the cutting tooth during grinding, the second cutting surface 5 is not only arranged at a distance inside the periphery of the grinding wheel, but also shaped to run concentrically around the grinding wheel axis A with a direction relative to this axis which is determined by the inclined inclination of the axis relative to the plane of the cutting tooth during grinding. This can for the typical case, in which the first felling surface 4 extends flat in the surface of the front of the grinding wheel and thus perpendicular to the axis Å, be expressed so that a generator G of the second felling surface 5 is directed towards the plane of the grinding wheel or towards the first felling surface 4 below an angle G, which is determined by the angle between the plane of the cutting tooth and a normal N to the cut link, minus the inclined angle ß of the grinding wheel or the first felling surface from the same normal during grinding.
Dessa utiöringsformer illustreras i fig; 3a-3c.Depending on the inclination of the plane of the cutting tooth and the added angle of inclination of the grinding wheel or grinding wheel shaft, this can result in a certain saw chain a being shaped so as to extend concentrically around the axis of the grinding wheel in the form of a straight cylinder . For other saw chains, the relationship may result in the second finishing surface 5 being shaped to extend concentrically about the axis of the grinding wheel with the shape of a truncated cone whose base is directed towards the grinding wheel, or shaped to extend concentrically around the axis of the grinding wheel with the shape of a truncated cone whose base is directed from the grinding wheel. These forms of expression are illustrated in fi g; 3a-3c.
I fig. I fi g. 4 is an exploded cross-sectional view of an embodiment of a grinding wheel according to the invention which is designed for simultaneous grinding of the cutting tooth and of the undercarriage lug in a commercially available saw chain intended for a chainsaw. The grinding wheel of the exemplary embodiment has a sldvlaopp 2 formed of »metal, with an outer diameter of about 150 mm, a maximum thickness axial direction of about '10 and has first and second felling surfaces 4,5 in the form of applied layers of ceramic material. The ceramic surface layers on the metal body can be applied according to known methods for the installation of grinding and cutting tools. The panel body of the embodiment 2 is preferably formed of steel with applied felling layers 4.5 of cubic boom. For the current saw chain, the height decreasing with the grinding length of the cutting tooth and the angle of inclination of the grinding wheel, for grinding the correct cutting angle, results in a design of the second cutting surface 5 according to the embodiment of fi g. 3b. In exemplary embodiments, the generatris of the second felling surface is directed at an angle om of 73 degrees to the upper plane of the grinding wheel, the grinding angle of the grinding wheel (notch angle) ß being 20 degrees and the inclination a of the cutting tooth being 93 degrees, both calculated from a normal N to the notch.
IThe radial distance of the second cutting surface within the periphery of the grinding wheel as well as its axial extent and position on the back of the grinding wheel are determined individually for each type of saw chain, taking into account the unused condition of the cutting tooth and the lowering heel, the distance between the cutting tooth and the cutting edge between cutting tooth and support heel. For this individual adaptation, therefore, no general guidelines are given in this description for the design of the grinding wheel, apart from the above-mentioned determination of the axis or plane of the relative felling surface of the other felling surface. In this context, it should also be pointed out that the significance of the previously described rotation of the grinding wheel relative to the longitudinal direction D of the saw chain decreases with increasing radii of the grinding wheel, and can be compensated geometrically by corresponding increase of the angle 0.
