Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for producing an intermediate beet product having substantially increased storage stability compared to newly harvested beets comprising the steps of: a) cutting the beets to obtain chips and b) drying the chips obtained in step a) until said chips has a saccharose content of at least 60 % (wt) and preferably within range from 60 % (wt) to 80% (wt). The invention also provides beet chips manufactured by the method as well as a de-icing/anti-freezing composition comprising the beet chips and use of beet chips for producing industrial alcohol, alcoholic drinks, deicing/anti-freezing preparations, food, animal feed, sugar, detergents, cleaning agents and bio plastic material.

Description

v:;n| ansa; - n - . - n n o o METODBESKRIVNING. v:; n | tend; - n -. - n n o o METHOD DESCRIPTION.

After picking up sugar beets, similar beets, they should be washed thoroughly.

This is done with water and, for example, high pressure to get rid of all the soil, stone attached to the fox, but also any contaminants etc.

After washing, you can choose two alternative methods, either peeled or unpeeled sugar beets, similar beets depending on which end product is to be produced.

Scaling can be done by blasting or other mechanical processing.

Other washing methods can be used, but the condition is that soil, stone and associated contaminants are removed.

Washing can and should be performed with a closed purification and recycling system of environmental soul.

After washing, the sugar beets, similar beets should be divided / cut according to alternative one or two.

The sugar beets, similar beets, are divided / cut into strips or chips along the fibers or channels that contain sugar and that store the substance or liquid that contains sugar.

Sharing / cutting with and along these channels or fibers is important to minimize the loss of sugar. Division can also take place across fibers and channels, however, with a large loss of sugar.

TWO Sugar beets, similar beets can also be divided / cut into two or fl your larger pieces in the same way as in OPTION ONE either along channels or fibers provided that the water content is less than 50% NEXT STEP The divided / cut chips or strips from the sugar beets, similar beets dried best and safest within a temperature range from + 45 degrees Celsius up to + 100 degrees Celsius until all water has evaporated and a sugar content of about 70% is reached.

This method densifies the fiber / sugar cell that contains the sugar and a preservation is achieved.

Below + 45 degrees Celsius, less economy is normally obtained in the process and more than + 100 degrees Celsius, the decomposition of the sugar, texture and / or structure can occur depending on the temperature of the material and the ambient temperature and a degraded processed raw material / semi-finished product is obtained which is not suitable for inclusion. in a final processed end product. The chips, strips or larger parts of the sugar beet, similar beets constitute a raw material / semi-finished product that is used for further processing where sugar (glucose and fructose) is a prerequisite for the function of the end product. 11, »-» treat CW TJ GW -aå x b x 3 The chips, strippers or parts can also be changed to the following type of raw material / semi-finished product.

° Mjöl som malts för direkt användning i produktionsprocessen ner eller till den storlek där det lagrade sockret mekaniskt frigörs ger detta en direkt möjlighet att som ingrediens direkt användas i slutprocessen för den tänkta slutprodukten.° Flour that is ground for direct use in the production process down to the size where the stored sugar is mechanically released gives this a direct opportunity to be used as an ingredient directly in the final process for the intended end product.

° Pellets för längre lagring på grund av fuktavstötning ° Korn i varierande storlekar Typ av råmaterial/halvfabrikat bestäms av den slutprodukt man skall tillverka.° Pellets for longer storage due to moisture repellency ° Grains in varying sizes The type of raw material / semi-finished product is determined by the end product to be manufactured.

The type of storage method can also be decisive for the type of raw material you choose.

The most resistant product to moisture is pellets as an example.

To have access to a raw material with a sugar content in the range of 60-80% that can be stored over time. A raw material that can be used when the need arises without the sugar content having decreased.

Råmaterialets/Halvfabrikatets användningsområden.Areas of use of the raw material / semi-finished product.
