Description
Den patentsökta uppfinningen är envegetabilisk myggolja,d v s en olja som appliceras på kroppen för att hindra mygg och andra insekter att sätta sig på huden och suga blod. En mera noggrann och urskiljande benämning på uppfinningen kan inte ges utan att använda varumärket "Näckens myggolja" som söks skyddad samtidigt med denna ansökan.
Människor och djur har alltid besvärats av blodsugande insekter. Naturfolk har försökt skydda sig med olika växtextrakt som man befann verksamma, samt med olika typer av trätjära vars lukt påminner om röken från vedeld som insekterna skyr. Den kemiska industrin har senare utvecklat ett antal syntetiska kemikalier som har avskräckande eller giftig inverkan på insekterna. Under de allra senaste åren har man åter börjat söka efter naturprodukter som kan fylla den önskade funktionen utan att vara förknippade med rädsla om giftighet för människan. Ett antal blandningar av s.k. eteriska ooljor utspädda i overksamma växtoljor har tagits fram. Den föreliggande patentsökta uppfinningen är en sådan produkt som skiljer sig från övriga genom antalet och arten av de ingående verksamma substanserna, som gör den verksam mot alla i Sverige förekommande blodsugande insektsarter. Samtliga ingredienser har dessutom i sin naturliga skepnad och i extraherad form sedan länge använts av människan för olika såväl utvältes som invärtes ändamål såsom mat, smaksättning av mat, parfym och läkemedel.
Produkten kan enkelt framställas i stor eller liten skala genom utblandning av de verksamma substanserna i en vegetabilisk basolja i en koncentration som balanserar god verksamhet mot insekter å ena sidan mot risken för hudirritation och höga tillverkningskostnader å den andra.
Den här aktuella vegetabiliska myggoljan framställs genom en inblandning av 1. eterisk olja från cederträ (Juniperus virginiana) med 1 % 2. eterisk olja från Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus) med 2 % 3. eterisk olja från Eukalyptusblad (Eucalyptus globulus) med 1 % 4. eterisk olja från Lavendel (Lavandula vera) med 2 % . eterisk olja från Nejlikablad (Eugenia caryophyllata) med 1 % och 6. eterisk olja från Pepparmynta (Mentha piperata) med 2 % i rapsolja av livsmedelskvalité från biodynamisk odling. Koncentrationstalen avser andel i den färdiga blandningen.

Patentkrav En vegetabilisk myggolj a, innehållande en blandning av eteriska oljor i en vegetabilisk basolja, och kännetecknad av att: De verksamma beståndsdelama är eterisk olja från cederträ (Juniperus virginiana), eterisk olja från citronella (Cymbopogon nardus), eterisk olja från eukalyptusblad (Eucalyptus globulus), eterisk olja från lavendel (Lavandula vera), eterisk olja från kryddnejlikeblad (Eugenia caryophyllata) och eterisk olja från pepparmynta (Mentha piperita); alla dessa eteriska oljor ingår, varav cederträolja ingår med en koncentration av 1 %, citronellaoljan med en koncentration av 2 %, eukalyptusoljan med en koncentration av 1 % lavendeloljan med en koncentration av 2 %, kryddnejlikeoljan med en koncentration av 1 % och peppannintsoljan med en koncentration av 2 % av den Färdiga blandningen, samt att oljebasen utgörs av en vegetabilisk olja av livsmedelskvalitet, och att oljeblandningen används for att fördriva blodsugande insekter från människor och djur, och att oljeblandningen kan användas för att smaksätta maträtter.
