Abstract
Description
(Drygt 20 A av granen i södra Sverige är angripen av rot- röta). 520 494 .2 root rot in spruce in southern Sweden where so much forest land borders fields and buildings. (Just over 20 A of the spruce in southern Sweden is infested with root rot).
Metal nails in spruce are a direct injection of fungal spores and hence rot! If the spruce is young and vigorous at the time of injection, the rot does not develop immediately, but only when the spruce grows older or is weakened by drought, insect infestation or mechanical damage to the root or stem. The cruel thing in this context is that the spruce root rot is spread via the spruce root system. This can mean; that the barbed wire that was nailed to a spruce 75 years ago today has spread root rot to tens of thousands of spruce neighbors. Our deciduous trees are also affected by growth retardation, disease and rot of metal nails. However, oak seems more durable than other deciduous trees. The pine is the most durable of our forest trees.
Det finns omk. 2 miljarder rötangripna granar i södra Sverige. Antar vi en omloppstid a 100 år samt åsätter varje rötskadad gran en värdeförlust a 75:- så kostar rotrötan i södra Sverige långt över en miljard kronor per år.There are approx. 2 billion rot-infested spruces in southern Sweden. If we assume a rotation period of 100 years and impose a value loss of SEK 75 on each rot-damaged spruce, the root rot in southern Sweden costs well over SEK 1 billion per year.
So nails in living trees can be a billion-dollar deal every year for the forest and the forest industry? The most important task of the tree nail is actually; to draw the attention of the Swedish people to the fact that it does not belong to the right of public access to nail in living trees! Thus, the nailing in living trees should be radically decimated to perhaps only 1/100 of today's. Ity the only thing that really requires nailing in living trees are bird nests.
State of the art = The solution to the problem of nails in living trees is called Tree nails.
And that possibility was opened up with the battery-powered drill and a wooden composite in the form of a wooden nail.
A major problem is that nails in living trees the problem and its economic consequences are very bad to not known by the Swedish people. A simple tree nail can be the event that triggers awareness and knowledge about the problem of nails in living trees. A patent here would probably be a great help in terms of the information part, as well as attract a lot of attention as a small treated piece of wood seems to have the potential; to solve a billion-dollar problem.
Birch and beech are chemically very pure tree species and therefore suitable for wood - tree nails. Introducing a foreign body, object into a living plant is a transplant problem. En and Ek would both be better as tree nails from the point of view of durability and rot resistance, but they are both chemically aggressive and hence with attempts to repel the wood-nailed tree. The book and. ». . . . 520 494 3 Birch's Achilles heel as wood - tree nails are its rapid decomposition outdoors.
2. Skonsam för träden. 3. Oförarglig för skogsindustrin. Now the lifespan of the wooden nail can be at least fivefold by mixing wood with plastic. In doing so, a very durable tree nail has been developed outdoors. A wooden nail that is harmless to the forest industry and probably also to the forest trees. An important part with regard to the height of the invention is that a treated piece of wood in the form of a nail can be used to strike three flies in one blow; 1. Strong enough and rot-resistant outdoors to set up objects on preferably living trees. 2. Gentle on the trees. 3. Inoffensive to the forest industry.
According to the invention, wood powder (lignocephalic material) is mixed with powder (granules) from one or more polymeric materials, such as plastic, before heating to a suitable softening temperature following molding (extermination) to the wood nail.
Examples of plastics include so-called thermoplastics, such as bioplastics (based on maize or starch), polyethylene and polyethylene. The weight percentage of plastic must be in a range of 20 - 60%. An advantage of using plastic is also that it can be mixed with a suitable paint. In accordance with the invention, such paint as the plastic must not have any detrimental effect on the environment.
