Abstract

A pacifier comprises a protective plate (1), a gripping part (2) and a suction part (3). The pacifier is manufactured in one single piece from two different materials in one process by moulding or injection moulding. The transitional regions between the materials are advantageously smooth for preventing the accumulation and growth of bacteria.

A pacifier comprising a protective plate (1), a grip part (2) and a suction part (3), the pacifier being made in a single piece by injection molding, characterized in that the pacifier consists of two different plastic materials, a harder and a softer one.

A pacifier according to claim 1, characterized in that the suction part (3) consists of the softer material while the protective plate (1) and the grip part (2) consist of the harder material.

A pacifier according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that the suction part (3) has a portion which extends a distance into the protection plate (1) and possibly also into the grip part (2).

A pacifier according to any one of claims 1-3, characterized in that the suction part (3) closest to the protection plate (1) has an elongate bit portion (4), against which teeth or goinmares are intended to abut, and that this bit portion (4 ) has a significantly greater extent in the horizontal section than in the vertical section.

A pacifier according to any one of claims 1-4, characterized in that the suction part (3) has at its end facing away from the protection plate (1) a shell-shaped portion (5), the extent of which in the horizontal direction is of the same order of magnitude as its extent vertically, and that the cup-connected portion (5) has its concave side facing away from the protection plate (1).

A pacifier according to any one of claims 1-4, characterized in that the suction part (3) at its end facing away from the protection plate (1) has a cup-shaped portion '(5), the extent of which in the horizontal direction is greater than its extent in vertical joint, and that the cup-shaped portion (5) has its concave side facing away from the protection plate (1).

Pacifier according to claim 5 or claim 6, characterized in that the cup-shaped portion (5) has approximately the same width as adjacent portions of the bit portion (4) and that the cup-shaped portion (5) has a peripheral edge which lies in a plane which is approximately parallel to an extension plane of the peripheral edge of the protection plate (1).

A pacifier according to any one of claims 1-7, characterized in that the grip part (2) and the protection plate (1) adjoin each other, and that a transition area (7) between them is softly rounded to prevent accumulation and growth of bacteria.

A pacifier according to any one of claims 1-8, characterized in that the pacifier is mirror-symmetrical both in a horizontal plane and in a vertical plane.
