Abstract

The present invention relates to a clip releasably and adjustably connecting together two separate regions 3, 4 of an edge portion (2) of a towel (1) such as to form a temporary hip covering of adjustable waist measurement . The clip includes a first part (61) for connecting the clip to one end region (3), and a second part for releasably connecting the clip to the other region (4), wherein the second part includes two mutually opposing walls (61, 62) which define a slot (6) therebetween, wherein at least one of the walls (62) carries teeth (63) which point in one direction in the longitudinal direction of the slot so as to enable the edge portion (2) of the towel to be moved along the slot in said one direction while counteracting movement of said edge portion (2) along the clip in the opposite direction and also counteracting withdrawal of the edge portion transversely to the longitudinal direction of said slot.
