Abstract

A shelving system has channel shaped uprights (1) with each channel side returned inwards (3) forming longitudinal groove (2). The returned sides having longitudinally equally spaced apart slots (4) each being level with the one in the opposite return wall. Carrier plate (7) formed with shelf bracket (9) has a length (l) greater than the width of groove formed between the two return walls and height (h) less than the length of the slots such that the plate can be inserted into the groove and turned into the slots spanning the groove.
