Abstract

The shaft connects to a slide track (6) feeding vegetables in the one layer for exposure to customers. A suction fan (4) sucks air from the area of the slide track (6), so that loose parts and particles accompanying the vegetables are sucked by the air current into the fitting. A component is arranged in connection with the part (8) of the slide track directed towards the customers and regulates the opening, through which air is sucked in by the suction fan. A collector (5) is arranged in the air flow between the slide track and the suction fan (4) for collecting the rubbish drawn in by the fan. The fitting comprises a number of storage containers (3) in transparent material and the slide track (6) has openings providing passage to the air flow.

Description

It is a further object of the present invention to provide a shop piece of furniture having a modular system for exhibitable product display and rational goods handling.

These objects are achieved by a method and an apparatus, which are first mentioned above and which exhibit the features which appear from the characterizing part of the appended independent claims.

By ensuring that the goods are fed to the customer in a layer over a partially open bottom, it is possible to form an air stream through the layer, which air stream carries loose debris into the furniture for disposal.

In the dependent dependent claims, further features of embodiments of the invention are set forth.

Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the invention, which constitutes an example and thus does not limit the scope of the invention. To facilitate understanding, references to the accompanying drawing figures are included in the text, in which equivalent or similar parts are given the same reference numerals.

Fig. 1 shows a shop furniture 1 according to an embodiment of the invention. The furniture, which for easy handling is placed on wheels that can be locked for parking, comprises a lower part 2 supporting three storage containers 3 for e.g. three different types of onions. In the example shown for good product exposure, the storage containers 3 are made of a transparent material, preferably a plastic material.

The lower part 2 is designed as a substantially airtight cabinet, provided at the front with two pivotably openable doors. As shown in fi g. 2, the inside of the lower part is arranged with a suction box 4 and a filter bag 5 intended for collecting rubbish, in front of the suction fan. The cabinet part 2 has at least one suction opening, which is arranged above the opening of the filter bag 5 and forms part of a slide 6. The exhaust air 7 can be led via an outlet in the rear part of the shop furniture, directed upwards towards the ceiling for further diversion in a suitable manner. The exhaust air can also be diverted downwards towards the floor if this is deemed appropriate or if the furniture comprises storage containers with a display of goods around it, the furniture can have a centrally located exhaust air line directed upwards or downwards.

The slide 6 is, as schematically shown by fi g. 3, for efficient feeding of onions made in an arc from the rear part 7 of the furniture, where it connects to the storage container 3. The arcuate slide 6 runs towards the front of the furniture where it ends with a stop 8, against which fed onions rest exposed to the customer. The slide is initially inclined steeply, substantially vertically, and then gradually decreases in slope so as to exhibit an almost horizontal direction at the product-exposing end of the slide. In this way it is achieved that onions in the steep part of the slide project forward bulbs.

The slideway 6 is furthermore at least partly made of wire-shaped elements arranged in parallel, allowing suction of debris through the slideway. The slide can also be made of perforated sheet metal or other grid-like element allowing debris to be sucked across the longitudinal direction of the slide and down through the slide.

An upper limiting screen 9 can be arranged above the slideway. The screen 9 has the task of limiting a channel, through which air is allowed to flow on its way to the grid part of the sliding plane. The limiting screen 9 is preferably designed so that the air flow is forced to pass the product-exposing part of the sliding plane projecting towards the customer. This entails e.g. that a cream that picks a item of goods experiences the air flow and is then tempted to help any partially loose shell debris and dust to accompany the air flow instead of the onion.

In order for the air flow to be able to carry the onion peel efficiently, it is, as mentioned earlier, important that the bulbs settle in only one layer. Should the bulbs be in two or two layers, the air flow will not be able to pull the debris through the bulb layers and the debris will remain and eventually fall to the ground.

In the example shown, the storage container 3 is designed as a rectangular container, one short side of which faces the front of the furniture. The storage container has a bottom sloping towards the front short side. The angle of inclination of the bottom ot is about 16 ° towards the horizontal plane and in the front part of the storage container a hole or an opening is arranged in the bottom towards a substantially rectangular shaft shaft 10. about 30 cm, and its depth is about 8 cm.

The sliding door 12 can be connected to or form part of the upper limiting screen 9. The screen 9 can furthermore be arranged for regulating the size of the suction opening at the exposed goods, e.g. through a sliding screen or the like.

Furthermore, smaller containers 13, e.g. for garlic or other smaller goods, be provided with their openings adjacent to the goods-exposing part of the slide. In this way, any debris or dust from these goods can also be captured by the air flow and introduced into the furniture for disposal. Although the invention has been described here in connection with onions, it is equally successful in keeping clean when displaying goods and selling other bulk and piece sales goods, such as e.g. root vegetables.

For use on products with a much larger or much smaller size than onions, the dimensions numerically specified in the example should of course be adapted, which is easily understood.
