Den därav betingade större relativa godstjockleken medför dock i sin tur minskad flexibilitet och expansionsförmåga varför en given hylsas an- vändbarhet begränsas till ett mycket snävt diameterintervall, i praktiken närmast ett enda diametervärde. Ändamålet med uppfinningen är att åstadkomma ett ledningsmärke, särskilt avsett för mycket klena ledningar, som inte är behäftat med de ovannämnda nackdelarna.
