Abstract

The fixed base section (1) has an intermediate part (2) rotatably located around a vertical axis. A reflector housing (3) is located on the intermediate part and is rotatable around a horizontal axis. In this reflector housing is a reflector (4) which has parabolic shape and a lamp holder (5) with a light source (6) is arranged rotatably in the reflector, so that rotary movement occurs around the parabola axis. The lamp holder is in firm connection with a current supply gable (7), which is fixed in the bottom section. The cable is enclosed by a screw spring (8) in order to increase its torque transmission capability. Alternatively, the light source can be arranged in relation to the reflector, which in such a case is arranged rotatably in relation to the reflector housing. If the search light intermediate part is turned a number of rotations in the one or the other direction in relation to the stationary bottom section, the lamp holder executes a corresp. number of rotations in the reflector housing.
