Wherein the supply line for polluted gas before the dual-functional duct system has at least two parallel ducts which at both ends converge with a common duct, wherein damper devices are provided for alternately bringing one or the other parallel duct into in the supply line for polluted gas.
In the following, an exemplary embodiment of the invention is described with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 shows a treatment plant which is provided with a device according to the invention just before changing the flow direction through the treatment plant; Fig. 2 shows the plant shortly after the change of direction has been carried out; Fig. 3 shows the same device just before the next change of direction; and Fig. 4 shows the plant shortly after the latter change of direction.
The treatment plant shown in the drawings, denoted in its entirety by 1, is of a type known per se and is described, for example, in Swedish patent application no. 8403330-7.
The plant shown comprises a space which between two perforated walls 2 has a treatment zone 3 which suitably consists of sand and contains heating devices 4. At the top and bottom, the device contains collection and flow chambers 5 and 6, respectively, to which gas ducts 7 and 8, respectively, converge. in a valve housing 9 in which a valve housing opens with the atmosphere connecting channel 10. The two channels 7 and 8 lead gas to and from the plant 1, respectively, depending on the position in which a damper 11 arranged in the valve housing 9 is located. At the plant shown, gas is treated by combustion of the pollutants by heating it. If the own combustion is not sufficient to maintain a sufficiently high temperature in the treatment zone 3, it is helped to raise the temperature by supplying energy from the heating devices 4. In order to maintain a maximum temperature in the treatment zone 3, the gas is passed alternately. 465 940 3 in one and the other direction through the treatment zone, the exchanges being carried out by means of the valve 9, 11. In the valve position shown in Fig. 1, untreated gas thus passes through an inlet duct 12 via the valve housing 9 and the duct 7 to the upper collection box 5 and thence through the treatment bed 3, after which treated gas via the collection box 6, the channel 8 and the valve housing 9 passes out into the atmosphere through the outlet channel 10. In Fig. 3 the damper is shown in its second setting position, in which untreated gas through the common channel 12 , the valve housing 9, the duct 8 and the collecting chamber 6 pass through the treatment bed 3. Treated gas thus passes further out through the collecting the chamber 5, the duct 7, the valve housing 9 and the outlet 10 to the atmosphere. This means that if contaminated gas to be treated is continuously supplied through the duct 12, gas which is closest to the valve housing, ie in the currently included duct from the valve housing and the corresponding collection box in the treatment chamber, would immediately reach the atmosphere after switching valve position untreated, as these parts of the system after the changeover will serve as an outlet and gas located in these parts has not reached the treatment zone of the treatment plant 3.
The invention, which has for its object to prevent such an emission of untreated gas, consists of an additive designated in its entirety by 13 which is mounted in the common inlet duct 12 to the valve housing 9. The device 13 consists of a duct system with an inlet chamber 14, an outlet chamber chamber 15 and a multi-channel system located between these chambers containing at least two channels 16 and 17. This can of course also be two groups of channels 16 and 17, respectively. In the inlet chamber a valve damper 18 is arranged which, depending on its position, leads through the gas channel incoming gas to one or the other duct system 16, 17. The outlet chamber 15 serves to direct gas from the two duct systems 16, 17 outgoing gas to the common inlet duct 12 to the valve housing 9. At a distance from the outlet end of the two ducts 16, 17 , preferably at the beginning of these channels are arranged fresh air inlets 19 and 20, respectively, which have relatively small flow area compared to the channels 16, 17 in general. Optionally, pressure-increasing devices can be connected to the inlet ducts 19, 20, such as, for example, fans V: or the like. The device has the following function during operation. In the position of the dampers 11 and 18 shown in Fig. 1, polluted gas flowing through the duct 12 will pass via the duct system 16, the outlet chamber 15, the valve housing 9, the duct 7 and the collecting chamber 5 to the treatment zone 3 and then via the collecting chamber 6, the duct 8 , the valve housing 9 and the outlet 10 pass out into the atmosphere in a purified state.
Under tiden inströmmar friskluft via inloppet 20 till kanal- systemet 17 och uppfyller detta under det att i kanalsystemet 17 tidigare befintlig förorenad gas pressas ut i kanalen 12 via utloppskammaren 15.Meanwhile, fresh air flows in via the inlet 20 to the duct system 17 and fulfills this while previously contaminated gas in the duct system 17 is forced out into the duct 12 via the outlet chamber 15.
In connection with the reversal of the valve 11 for changing the flow direction through the plant 1, the valve 18 is also reversed, which means that as shown in Fig. 2 the polluted gas instead passes through the duct system 17 and into the valve housing via the outlet chamber 15 while the duct system 16 is successively filled with fresh air flowing in through the inlet 19 while polluted gas remaining in the duct system 16 gradually flows into the plant 1 while the fresh air increasingly fills the duct system 16.
Fig. 3 shows that the entire duct system 16 is filled with fresh air which flows in relatively slowly. This may mean that some fresh air accompanies the polluted gases into the plant after the duct system in question has been filled with fresh air if further time elapses before the change of direction. Due to the slow inflow of fresh air due to the fact that the inlet passages 19 and 20, respectively, are relatively narrow, this does not mean any significant inconvenience to the system. However, the volume of the duct systems 16, 17 should be so large that fresh air present therein is able to completely flow through the treatment plant 1 before the reversal of the damper 11 is carried out. This means that there is no polluted untreated gas in the part of the system which after the changeover will constitute an outlet. This also means that the reversal of the valve 18 should take place in good time before the reversal of the valve 11, that the handling 1 has time to be filled with fresh air or other clean gas which has flowed in through the inlets 19, 20 before the valve 11 is reversed. This means that flushing of the plant is allowed to take place before the change of direction. The volume in the duct systems 16, 17 should also not be too large, as unnecessarily long-term flow of the purification plant 3 with fresh air means unnecessary cooling of the same. This is particularly sensitive when the intervals between the directional changes are short. In the above, a special embodiment has been described, but it is obvious to the person skilled in the art to vary its teaching without departing from the basic idea of the invention. One can thus imagine other devices and control systems »which have the task of flushing the purification plant in with fresh air or other clean gas before the change of direction. In the embodiment shown, the attachment device is 13 L; carried as a duct system and in the text above, Lin speaks of a duct system, but it is of course also conceivable; to arrange the chambers which the channels form in another way. Other types of containers can also be alternately filled with fresh powder and contaminated gas, respectively, and alternately shunted in the ordinary approach to the treatment plant.
