Abstract
When the ends of the cord (17) are pulled, the loop tightens and compresses the casing (11). Tightening can occur against the spring effect of the casing itself of against the force of springs (16) fitted between the casing ends. The cord ends are pulled by it being wound on a spool (22) rotatably fitted on the exterior of the ventilation duct (10). This has a scale (24) to indicate the extent of tightening and the throughflow area of the casing.
