Abstract
This invention is a method to reduce the effect of power surge overload during the use of electrical equipment in a steel container (1), and a device to allow implementation of this method. The progress from electromechanical devices to computers has lowered electrical system voltage considerably, which results in increased sensitivity to surges.The problem is solved by placing the equipment (7) in a container (1) with an outer (2) and inner (3) steel shielding that are isolated from one another. The equipment (7) is attached to the inner shielding (3) that is grounded at a considerable distance from the container. The electrically conductive covering (8) on the incoming wire is attached to the container's outer shielding (2), which is grounded in connection to the container (1).<IMAGE>
