Abstract
Description
446 771 2 ignition of a lighter can then take place by the electronic circuit initiating a selected lighter depending on received signals by activating a conductor common to one cassette at the same time as one individual conductor for each lighter in the cassette.
Patronen enligt uppfinningen uppvisar bl.a. följande fördelar och egenska- per: - väldefinierad tidsfunktion vid fällning, eftersom avfyring av delladd- ningarna styrs elektroniskt av utifrån inkommande pulståg, -» enkelt och snabbt laddningsförfarande i förhållande till antal utskjut- bara delladdningar, - god miljötålighet, - omladdningsbar patron. The cartridge according to the invention has i.a. the following advantages and properties: - well-defined time function during precipitation, since the firing of the subcharges is electronically controlled by incoming pulse trains, - »simple and fast charging procedure in relation to the number of extendable subcharges, - good environmental resistance, - rechargeable cartridge.
Because the cartridge case and the electronic circuit are reusable, the cartridge cost can be kept down.
The invention will be described in more detail below with the aid of an exemplary embodiment and with reference to the drawings, in which Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a schematically shown cartridge according to the invention with space for four cassettes, Fig. fjg_§ shows a cross section through an alternative cassette design with six cake-shaped subcharges and §i_çy__4_ shows an electrical wiring diagram for the connection of the electronic circuit to the cartridge connector and to the teeth. g The cartridge 1 according to Fig. 1 consists of a circular-cylindrical housing 2 with an opening 3 and a bottom plate 4. The bottom plate 4 is provided with a connector for external connection. The connector may consist of concentrically arranged contact rings separated by insulating areas as described in SE patent specification 7414669-7. An electronic circuit 5 is arranged in the bottom of the cartridge 1, which is electrically connected to the connector and lighter 6 via conductors.
The cartridge in the case shown comprises four sub-spaces 7, 8, 9 and 10 intended for a cassette 11, 12, 13 and 14 each. The cassette may, as shown in Fig. 2, comprise four parallel subcharges 5, which are suitably arranged on a cassette 16. The longitudinal direction of the subcharges 15 substantially coincides with the longitudinal direction of the cartridge 1. Each partial charge 15 is assigned to a pyroelectric lighter and propellant charge, 6 in Figs. 1, 2 and 4. In addition, a lighter is arranged to operate directly on the cassette 11, 12, 13 and 13, respectively. 14. Optionally, the lighter for 446 771 the cassette 11 placed in the cartridge closest to the base plate can be omitted, since this cassette does not necessarily have to be extended. The igniters for the subcharges 15 can be arranged in the cassette bottom 17 and possibly surrounded by gunpowder or the like. A separate, not shown, drive mirror in the form of a flat disc of, for example, cardboard or plastic can be arranged between each partial charge 15 and the associated lighter 6. The cassette bottom 17 can serve as a drive mirror for the lighter acting directly on the cassette. The latter igniter can then be arranged between said cassette bottom 17 and the underlying cassette with partial charges. The solid line 18 in Fig. 1 marks the upper part of an underlying cassette, while the solid line 17 marks the bottom of the space of the subcharges for interfering means (for example strips). Both the form of the subcharges and the number of subcharges included in a cassette can be varied. For example, the subcharges 15, as shown in Fig. 3, may be given a cake bit-like shape. The partial charges included in the cassette can also have mutually different shapes and / or interference properties.
The connection of the igniters 6 to the electronic circuit 5 is shown in Fig. 4 for an embodiment with four cassettes, each containing four subcharges. As can be seen from the figure, all lighters 6 in a cassette, i.e. in the present case four lighters for the partial charges and the lighter for the cassette are connected to the electronic circuit 5 via a common conductor 26, 27, 28 or 29. Each individual lighter 6 in a cassette 11, 12, 13 or 14 are also connected together with a corresponding lighter 6 in each of the other cassettes to the circuit via an additional conductor 21-25 for each lighter 6 in the cassette.
The tripping of ignition current to the igniters is controlled by a pulse train which is fed into the cartridge via its connector and to the circuit 5. Each pulse in the pulse train can correspond to the firing of a partial charge. The 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th pulses then initiate the firing of cassettes, in which previously fired subcharges have been stored. Thus, depending on the received pulse train, the electronic circuit initiates a certain number of lighters in a certain order. A selected lighter is initiated by activating a conductor 26, 27, 28 or 29 common to a cassette at the same time as a conductor 21, 22, 23, 24 or 25 individually for each lighter in the cassette. Electronic control of the output of the subcharges This is possible by programming the trap in which the cartridges are placed.
The internal voltage supply in the electronic circuit can conveniently be provided by utilizing the input pulse train-shaped signal. 446 771 When activated from the outside, the circuit 5 performs a search for an entire lighter in the cartridge in a specific order. The igniters, which are located closest to the cartridge opening 3, are scanned first and then the igniters, which are located closer to the cartridge bottom 4, are scanned. When the first complete igniter is sought, it is triggered. At the same time, a firing sensor detects if an actual firing has taken place. In the event that a firing has not taken place, the firing sensor ensures that an additional lighter is triggered, whereby increased reliability is achieved.
As a conductor between the circuit 5 and the cassettes 11, 12, 13 and 14 for connecting the igniters to the circuit, a flex cable is suitably used, which is provided with breaking instructions. When a used cassette is pushed out, the flex cable is torn off during the breaking instructions intended for the cassette. In the area around the fracture indication, the flex cable is provided with an extra insulation which electrically insulates the remaining-worn cable end from surrounding electrically conductive material, such as for instance the cartridge sleeve.
