An ostomy appliance to. in a discharge collection bag intended to be attached to the body by a user. collect body discharges emitted from a stoma in the abdomen. characterized by a resilient O-ring (20) intended to be placed on and in sealing connection with the part of the abdomen surrounding the stoma (16) which inner diameter of the O-ring is approximately equal to that of the stoma. a substantially rigid sealing ring (30) with a washer portion (34) open at its central portion and an annular flange (36) projecting nt transversely to and from the outer periphery of the washer portion. over the 0-ring (20) to provide a sealing contact between the 0-ring and both the annular flange and the washer portion, which discharge collecting bag (10) is attached to the attachment ring (30) and has an opening located opposite the and in line with the opening of the tray portion, whereby discharges emitted from the stoma. all the way across the user's abdomen. and an adjoining. substantially V-shaped lower portion containing a drain pipe (1a). and a belt (12. 20. 32) attached to the attachment ring and to the bag for attaching the device to a user's body.

An ostomy appliance according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper part of the bag has an upper corner. wherein there are means I '(l4. l4': 62) for attaching the upper corner of the bag to the belt (l2. 'I 28. 32) so that the bag and its contents are supported from the upper corners during use. 8001597-7

An ostomy appliance according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a buttonhole (14 ') is formed in each of the upper corners of the upper part of the bag. and the belt (12. 12 '') is made of elastic material and has buttons (14) attached to the belt. means (32 ') for adjusting the belt as arranged. that when the belt tension has been adjusted to a predetermined value, the buttons (14) have been separated so much. that they are located in the middle of and in line with the buttonholes (l4 ') in the bag.

An ostomy appliance according to any one of claims 1-3. characterized in that the device includes a guide ring (52) whose dimensions are such that the ring fits loosely around the mounting ring (30). on which guide ring there is an adhesive or glue (55) for position-fixing the guide ring (52) on the user's body. in a position concentric with the stoma.

An ostomy appliance according to claim 2, characterized in that the upper corners of the pus are provided with elongate slits (62). and that a belt (12). which is attached to the mounting ring to fix the device to the user's body. is passed through the slots in the bag to support the upper corner of the bag.
