Abstract

The invention relates to a scarf joint in furniture construction of different types where three or more elongate elements 1, 2, 3 orientated in different directions are to be joined to a joint in a common point of joining, whereby a strong but slender scarf joint is to be provided with simple means, a minimum of screw means 16 and without any need of adhesive. In the joined state of the elements, one single screw 16 extend through a through hole 6 in the first element 1 and through a through hole 14 in the waist portion 5 of the second element 2, and into one of the holes 12 in the third element 3, the screw 16 being tightenable into said hole for tightening up the joint, while the remaining holes 9, 10, 13, 15, aligned with each other are arranged to contain dowel pins 18 for fixating desired angular positions between the elements in the joint. <IMAGE>
