Abstract

A clamping and fastening device consists of a holder 14 which can move relative to a rod 9a or tube 9b, on which is hinged a clamping arm 16 which has a handle piece 17 and two lugs 18a, 18b, which act against the envelope surface of the rod 9a or tube 9b. These lugs are shaped so that, under the influence of the clamping arm, they first produce a movement of the holder relative to the rod or tube and in the final position they produce its fixation on said rod or tube. The device is used advisedly together with a stand structure as a sign stand and in this case the foot can have flexible elements in the form of rubber wedges 8a, 8b. <IMAGE>
