Abstract

The process is for parting off a large, semi-plastic concrete slabs, of parallel-epipedic shape, into smaller elements. It utilizes a relative movement between the slab and a number of horizontal wires, held in a frame at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the slab. - One or more slots (3) are produced in the slab (1) and extend in its longitudinal direction. A retainer (13) of the frame (10) engages in the slot, and the parting off takes place, using one or more frames. Each frame has one set of wires, each of a length, only slightly more than half the width of the slab.
