There are multiple solutions that have been presented in prior art inregarding cooling systems for complex structures. However, the utility ofthese systems has not been seen in advance form and for the above discussed needs. . . id="p-10" id="p-10"
[0010] The current invention proposes a unique design Which features astandalone Way of supporting, collating, handling, facilitating the complexstructures temperature maintenance. This revolutionary approach marks amajor step toward the goal of creating System Coolant, that never enters thecell/electronics compartment providing a large flexibility in System Coolantsolutions. The battery module solution is encapsulating the battery cells andthe electronics in a shield Immersion Cooled/Heated container. Furthermore, the Immersion Coolant is always Within the module and never circulates outof the module. The external container is made out of thermal insulating plastics. DETAILED DESCRIPTION Detailed descriptions of the preferred embodiment are providedherein. It is to be understood, however, that the present invention may beembodied in various forms. Therefore, specific details disclosed herein arenot to be interpreted as limiting, but rather as a basis for the claims and as arepresentative basis for teaching one skilled in the art to employ the present invention in virtually any appropriately detailed system, structure or manner. [ÄGÜ35] The terminology used herein is for the purpose of describingparticular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of theinvention. As used herein, the term "and/or" includes any and allcombinations of one or more of the associated listed items. As used herein, the singular forms "a," "an," and "the" are intended to include the pluralforms as well as the singular forms, unless the context clearly indicatesotherwise. It will be further understood that the terms "comprises" and/or"comprising," when used in this specification, specify the presence of statedfeatures, steps, operations, elements, and/or components, but do not precludethe presence or addition of one or more other features, steps, operations, elements, components, and/or groups thereof. 36. 36. id="p-36" id="p-36"
[0036] The present invention is directed toward development of ImmersionCoolant which is encapsulated in the Cell/Electronics compartment of themodule securing the fire resistance of the module at all time and securing the Immersion Coolant from contaminations in a tamper proof way. 37. 37. id="p-37" id="p-37"
[0037] In the power supply devices described in these publications, a batteryis disposed in a case filled with a cooling liquid, and the battery is immersedin the cooling liquid for cooling. The power supply device having thisstructure can cool a large number of batteries to a uniform temperature. However, the power supply device having this structure has a drawback thatthe structure is complicated, and the manufacturing cost is high. This isbecause, in order to cool the cooling liquid filling the case, it is taken out andcirculated and forcedly cooled outside the case. In particular, an apparatusthat takes out and circulates the cooling liquid outside the case corrodes andcauses a failure if the cooling liquid leaks. Therefore, it is necessary to circulate in a structure that does not leak the liquid. 38. 38. id="p-38" id="p-38"
[0038] As per preferred embodiment of the invention, the proposedassembly presents a uniquely designed system where the Thermal insulatingModule Container Outer Wall (1) encloses Battery Cell Holder (2), aCylindrical Battery(3), Thermal insulating Module Container Top Lid (4),Thermal insulating Module Container Bottom Lid (5) and Cooling Plate (6).
The battery and electronics compartment as per its further embodiments isfilled with immersion coolant. The cells are immersed for temperature regulation and fire protection. 39. 39. id="p-39" id="p-39"
[0039] The System Coolant liquid regulates the temperature of the coolingplate. The System Coolant is entering and exiting through the nozzles of the cooling plate (The cooling plate can have different sizes and forms.). (6) 40. 40. id="p-40" id="p-40"
[0040] The system provides an exemplary approach with its sophisticatedsystem where the System Coolant enters the cooling plate of the modulewhich can be on the bottom or on the sides. The plate is then regulating thetemperature of the Immersion Coolant. The immersion Coolant is thenregulating the temperature of the cells. The module is a fully encapsulated solution containing cells, electronics, interconnects and immersion coolant. 41. 41. id="p-41" id="p-41"
[0041] The method and system as per its preferred embodiments poses muchsafer environment where cells are always immerged in Immersion Coolanteven if the system cooling circuit is broken in for example a car accident. This allows the cell to be protected from unintended absence of coolant.Furthermore, the Immersion Coolant is also Fire resistant keeping the cellssafe within the strong structure of the module. The System Coolant isindependent from the Immersion Coolant, so the user can use their own existing system. [0042l While a specific embodiment has been shown and described, manyvariations are possible. With time, additional features may be employed. Theparticular shape or configuration of the platform or the interior configuration may be changed to suit the system or equipment with which it is used.
Having described the invention in detail, those skilled in the art willappreciate that modifications may be made to the invention withoutdeparting from its spirit. Therefore, it is not intended that the scope of theinvention be limited to the specific embodiment illustrated and described.Rather, it is intended that the scope of this invention be determined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
The Abstract of the Disclosure is provided to allow the reader toquickly ascertain the nature of the technical disclosure. It is submitted withthe understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope ormeaning of the claims. In addition, in the foregoing Detailed Description, itcan be seen that various features are grouped together in variousembodiments for the purpose of streamlining the disclosure. This method ofdisclosure is not to be interpreted as reflecting an intention that the claimedembodiments require more features than are expressly recited in each claim.Rather, as the following claims reflect, inventive subject matter lies in lessthan all features of a single disclosed embodiment. Thus, the followingclaims are hereby incorporated into the Detailed Description, with each claim standing on its own as a separately claimed subject matter.
