Abstract
A hybrid or fully electric heavy motor vehicle (1) has an arrangement for storing electric batteries comprising at least one load bearing beam (3, 4) of the load bearing frame structure (2) of the vehicle extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The walls of the beam define a closed space configured to receive and store electric batteries and are designed to have thermal insulating properties. The arrangement comprises a device configured to control the temperature of the batteries by causing a medium to flow through the closed space of the beam while entering into direct contact with the batteries stored therein.
