Abstract
The present invention refers to a device for drawing arcs, wherein the device is provided with a plurality of through holes at different predetermined respective distances from an arc center point, which arc center point is in the center of one of the through holes, and which respective distances decide the radius of a respective arc, wherein the arc center point is arranged to keep a predetermined point of the device in a predetermined position on a support by placing a holding means in the arc center point so that the device is able to rotate about said predetermined position, and that a drawing means is able to be inserted at a second point of the device, which second point is one of the through holes of the device, so as to draw the arc when the device is rotated. The through holes can be placed in different patterns. It further refers to a method of using such a device to draw an arc.
Claims (15)
1. A device (1) for drawing arcs, characterized in that the device (1) is provided with a plu-rality ofthrough holes (2) at different predetermined respective distances from an arc cen-ter point, which arc center point is in the center of one of the through holes (2), and whichrespective distances decide the radius of a respective arc, wherein the arc center point isarranged to keep a predetermined point ofthe device (1) in a predetermined position on asupport by placing a holding means (3) in the arc center point so that the device (1) is ableto be rotated about said predetermined position, and that a drawing means (4) is able to beinserted at a second point of the device, which second point is one ofthe through holes (2) ofthe device (1), so as to draw the arc when the device (1) is rotated.
2. A device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the through holes (2) are arrangedin a pattern across a surface ofthe device (1), where each through hole is provided at a fixed distance from the previous through hole.
3. A device (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that said fixed distance is in a range from 1-20 mm or 1/10 inch to 1 inch.
4. A device (1) according to claim 2 or 3, wherein the pattern is a zigzag pattern across the surface ofthe device (1).
5. A device (1) according to claim 4, characterized in that each peak of the zigzag pattern is provided at a fixed distance from the previous peak across said surface.
6. A device (1) according to claim 5, characterized in that each peak on one side ofthe zigzagpattern is 10 mm or 1 inch, in a lengthwise direction ofthe device across said surface, from the previous peak of that same one side.
7. A device (1) according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the distance between a peakof one side if the zigzag pattern and a peak of the opposite side of the zigzag pattern is 5 mm or V2 inch in the lengthwise direction of the device. 2018-11-20, Application text 180081SE 11
8. A device (1) according to any of claim 5-7 characterized in that the distance between each through hole in the zigzag pattern is 1 mm or 1/10 inch in the lengthwise direction.
9. A device (1) according to any of the preceding claims characterized in that the holding means can be a pen, pencil or any other drawing device.
10. A device (1) according to any ofthe preceding claims, characterized in that the device is made of plastic, silicon, rubber, wood or metal.

A device (1) according to any of the preceding claims characterized in that the holdingmeans (3) is a fixed projection (5) located on the underside of the device and the upper sideof the device is provided with a friction plate (6) to hold the projection (5) against the sup- port on which the device (1) is placed.
12. A device (1) according to claim 9, wherein the fixed projection (5) has a part-spherical or ball shape.
13. A device (1) according to claim 9 or 10, characterized in that the fixed projection (5) and the friction plate (6) are centered in said surface, on a first through hole ofthe pattern.
14. A device (1) according to any of claims 9-11, characterized in that the fixed projection (5) is made of rubber or silicone.
15. A method of drawing an arc or a circle, comprising the steps of: i. placing a device (1) according to any of claim 1-14 on the support on which the arc is tobe drawn; ii. positioning the holding means (3) at the desired arc center point on the support, whicharc center point is in the center of anyone ofthe through holes (2); iii. placing a drawing means (4) inside anyone through hole 2 at a distance from the arccenter point corresponding to a desired radius ofthe arc; and iv. rotating the device (1) around an axis of rotation defined by the holding means (3) placedin the arc center point, while pushing the drawing means (4) towards the support hence drawing the arc. 2018-11-20, Application text 180081SE
