Abstract
Fluke drive system, comprising a flexible fluke (600) and a fluke driving mechanism comprising a displacement means (601) arranged to be driven to move reciprocally upwards and downwards, which fluke (600) is connected to the displacement means (601) via a fluke connecting part (610).The invention is characterised in that the fluke connecting part (610) comprises a pivot joint (615), pivotally connecting a first point (a) of the displacement means (601) to a second point (b) of the fluke (600);an upper spring means (613), connecting a third point (c), arranged above the first point (a), of the displacement means (601) to a fourth point (d), arranged above the second point (b), of the fluke (600); anda lower spring means (614), connecting a fifth point (e), arranged below the first point (a), of the displacement means (601) to a sixth point (f), arranged below the second point (b), of the fluke (600).
Claims (7)
1. Fluke drive system, comprising a flexible fluke (600) and a fluke driving mechanismcomprising a displacement means (601) arranged to be driven to move reciprocallyupwards and downwards, wherein the fluke (600) is connected to the displacementmeans (601) via a fluke connecting part (610), characterised in that the fluke connectingpart (610) comprisesa pivot joint (615), pivotally connecting a first point (a) of the displacement means(601) to a second point (b) of the fluke (600);an upper spring means (613), connecting a third point (c), arranged above the firstpoint (a), of the displacement means (601) to a fourth point (d), arranged above thesecond point (b), of the fluke (600); anda lower spring means (614), connecting a fifth point (e), arranged below the firstpoint (a), of the displacement means (601) to a sixth point (f), arranged below the second point (b), of the fluke (600).
2. Fluke drive system according to claim 1, characterised in that the said pivot joint(615), the upper spring means (613) and the lower spring means (614) are the onlymechanical connections between the displacement means (601) and the fluke (600)affecting the mechanical behaviour of the fluke (600) in relation to the fluke driving mechanism.
3. Fluke drive system according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the springconstant of the upper spring means (614) is larger, such as at least twice, the spring constant of the lower spring means (613).
4. Fluke drive system according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that first (a), third (c) and fifth (e) points are all rigidly connected to each other.
5. Fluke drive system according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that second (b), fourth (d) and sixth (f) points are all rigidly connected to each other. Documcntl, 2018-11-12 24
6. Fluke drive system according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised inthat the fluke (400) is made from a flexible material, preferably having flexible steel inserts (401) along its periphery.
7. Fluke drive system according to c|aim 6, characterised in that the fluke (400)comprises a remote controlled hydraulically or pneumatically operated stiffening system(402), arranged to make the fluke (400) stiffer as a result of a supplied higher hydraulic or pneumatic pressure to the stiffening system (402).
