Abstract

The disclosure provides a casting method for casting a secondary material into a primary material, the secondary material being cemented carbide, and the primary material being ductile iron. The method comprises heating the secondary material in a mold space (3) inside a casting mold (7), using a removable heating element (1), removing the heating element (1) when a predefined temperature has been reached in the secondary material, the predetermined temperature being higher than 1100° C, adding a melt of the primary material to the mold space (3) and cooling the primary and secondary materials. The disclosure also provides a resulting product.
