Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a method for prediction of a probability of malfunction of a wheel bearing unit of a front axle in a vehicle. According to one aspect, the disclosure relates to a method for prediction of a probability of malfunction of a wheel bearing unit of a front axle in a vehicle during an upcoming prediction time period of predefined length. The method comprising obtaining (S1) a machine learning model, wherein the machine learning model provides a probability of malfunction of the wheel bearing unit as output, given a set of input parameters and receiving (S2), from at least one sensor or meter in the vehicle, first decision data related to usage of the vehicle. The method further comprises obtaining (S3) second decision data related to at least one physical property of the vehicle, and estimating the probability of malfunction of the wheel bearing by running the machine learning model with the first and the second decision data forming the set of input parameters. The present invention also relates to a control arrangement arranged to predict a probability of malfunction of a wheel bearing unit of a front axle in a vehicle. The present invention also relates to a computer program and a computer program product implementing the method.
