A method () performed in a controller (,) for voltage balancing of a converter () is provided. The converter () comprises one or more phase legs, each phase leg comprising series connected cells. The method () comprises detecting () one or both of a fault and an unbalanced operating condition, and regulating (), for each of the one or more phase legs, direct current, DC, voltage at its nominal value.
