Background ot the invention [OO2] Various models ot breast nipp|e protections have been disclosed in severalpatents and patent applications, those are ot dome shape, attached to the skin withadhesive tape or bands and need to be held in the right position by a bra or anotherarticle ot clothing. A protection device tor the nipp|e atter surgical operation(s) isdisclosed in US 4,754,750, wherein breast nipp|e protection devices tor generalnipp|e complaints are disclosed in DE 19853252 Ci , EP 91301248 and WO03/073978, respective|y.
[003] Breast teeding mothers are one target group that otten experiencetenderness in the nipp|e area. Other related conditions are hurting nipp|es, woundednipp|es, tunga| intection on the nipp|es, eczema on the nipp|es, white nipp|es or a mi|kblister.
[C04] The major drawbacks ot the prior art is that the materia| used tor thedevice is otten ot hard plastic materia| and may abrade the skin it it is not tixedproperly. ln addition, tixing the device in the right position by using adhesive tape maya|so cause additiona| damage on a wounded area. The wounds or intections are ottennot on|y situated at the nipp|e but a|so at the surrounding areola, theretore the breastprotection device must cover a larger area ot the breast that do not press on the skincausing additiona| pain and wounds.
[005] Another drawback ot the prior art is the lack ot adequate air supp|y,which is necessary tor a successtu| hea|ing process.
[OOó] A need remains to provide a breast nipp|e protection device that compriseboth the medical needs such as enough air supp|y tor the wound hea|ing or a deviceadapted to keep a medicament e.g., compresses with NaCl or other antibacterial medicaments, nor the convenience, such as that the subject do not have to tix the device using odhesive tope, bond ond/or wearing o bro or similor clothes.

The upper dome shoped top portion hos in this cose o net-like structure. The domeshoped portion moy be exchongeoble ond provided in ditterent modes thot depend onthe needs ot the domoged tissue. ln the exchongeoble embodiment is the continuousportion somewhot longer ond the opening tor the exchongeoble dome shoped top iswider compored to the tixed embodiment. The upper wo|| ot the contiguous portion isolso bent outwords with the purpose to dock the dome shoped portion. The domeshoped top portion (1, see Figure 1) moy comprise more or |ess oir ho|es or be toto||y without ho|es tor keeping o compress comprising o medicoment e.g., NoCi.
