Abstract
The external antenna (11) has a resistance which is sufficiently low so that when the switch (17) is connected to it, a sufficient change in the voltage for the switch control signal (21) occurs, causing the switch to change position and therefore transmit radio signals via the external antenna rather than the fitted antenna (10). The selector comprises a switch which transmits radio signals via a fitted (internal) antenna normally connected to the switch, or via an external antenna which can be connected to the switch, if desired.
