Abstract

The sunscreen device has two retaining fixtures (10) at a front edge (4) of a roof area (3) of a vehicle (1), where the fixtures are arranged corresponding to two fastening units (12) at a screen part. Articulated joint organs (13) form a rotational axis extending over the breadth and lying in-front of the front edge for the screen part such that the screen part is rotated between a upward flap position, in which a front side (6) is directed forward and a rear side (7) is directed rearwards, and a downward flap position, in which the rear side is directed upwards.
