Abstract

The arrangement is for the input of conical siganls to a peripheral unit and has a casing (4) which functions as a support for the hands and forearms of a user when he or she works with the arrangement. Two buttons (5,6) are used for generating further control signals. A band/loop (1) is located in an aperture and a user with a hand part can move it, thus producing a movement of an indicator on the computer screen. Only a part of the band/loop is accessible through the aperture in the casing. The band/loop are suspended on two shafts. The arrangement is provided with sprung components at the ends of one of the shafts. A movement sensor for measurement of movement of the band is placed at the side of the shaft which is not suspended with the sprung components. The movement sensor can be of hte type found in optical standard mice.
