Abstract
The iron ions are converted into an aqueous solution with a higher iron ion concentration than the contaminated water and then precipitated from the solution to form a jarosite. A method for recovering iron from water contaminated with metal and containing iron ions comprises the following steps: (A) converting the iron ions into an aqueous solution with a higher iron ion concentration than the contaminated water; and (B) precipitating the iron from the solution to form a jarosite.
