Abstract

An exchangeable cartridge (B) of an air dryer for drying and cleaning compressed air in a heavy road vehicle contains desiccant (10). It also comprises - in order in the air flow direction and before the desiccant (10) - a pre-filter (6) for preventing larger matters from passing and a coalescence filter (8) for gathering and separating away contamining droplets.
