Abstract

The present invention relates to an absorbent article (1), such as an incontinence protection, a napkin, a sanitary towel, a pantyliner and the like, which consists of a liquid-permeable surface layer (2), which is intended, during use, to face a user, a liquid-impermeable back side layer (3) and an absorbent body (4), which is placed between the inner side of the surface layer (2) and the inner side of the back side layer (3). The absorbent article (1) includes an indicator device (13) which indicates the presence of moisture or liquid in the absorbent article (1). The invention is characterized by the fact that the indicator device (13) consists of at least one first indicator means (15, 22a, 25) which indicates a first time period during which the indicator device (13) has been exposed to moisture or liquid.
