Abstract

A device for raising an axle (5) of a vehicle having a chassis with side portions (3, 4), that have attachment portions (10, 11) for a support member (15), that runs between the side portions and has end portions that are attached to attachment portions (10,11), and a support member, that is arranged between the end portions. The axle (5) has a raising portion (8) that extends over the support member. Support member (15) comprises a first, watertight fabric section (20) that has an actuator zone (22) on the side directed toward raising portion (8), and a second, watertight fabric section (24), having a edge portion (26) that is sealingly attached with the actuator zone (22). Between the actuator zone (22) and the lifting zone (25) is defined a pressure chamber. By the introduction of the pressure fluid into the pressure chamber, lifting zone (25) is designed to be moved away from actuator zone (22) and thereby lift the axle (5).
