Abstract

The symbols are generated randomly from a predefined symbol alphabet stored in a look-up table. The bit stream consisting of dummy and user data, is scrambled by bitwise modulo-2 addition between the quadrature amplitude modulated (QAM) bit stream and randomly generated symbols. The scrambling is performed such that power of dummy data is lower than power of user data and scrambled bit stream is transmitted. - Independent claims are also included for the following: - (1) computer program product comprising software code for storing modulated bit stream transmission program; - (2) transmitter; - (3) receiver; and - (4) transceiver.
